There's a reason things are a mess in Washington, and it's not necessarily the White House.  Finally, the American People are on to the source of the odor: the Congress. 57% of Americans would like to dump every last member and start over according to this Rasmussen poll.  Here are some gems from the survey indicating that we the people have figured out what ails our nation:

• 57% would vote to replace the entire Congress and start all over again.
• Fifty-nine percent (59%) now believe that members of Congress are overpaid.
• One reason for this attitude may be that most voters say they understand the health care legislation better than Congress.
• 16% believe it’s Very Likely that Congress will address the most important problems facing our nation.
• Seventy-five percent (75%) say members of Congress are more interested in their own careers than they are in helping people.

The question is will Americans act on their feelings in next year's election or will the "Americans hate Congress but love their Congressman" pattern?
